Welcome to April!

Hey<<First Name>>, welcome to another Sapling Tarot Newsletter, I’m so grateful that you’re here.

Pale pink cherry blossom in front of a pale blue sky.

Speaking of gratitude, I want to say another huge, massive thank you to all of you for being here during the first year of Sapling Tarot. The start of Aries Season marked the first full year that I’ve been in business, writing and creating on the blog and reading for many of you.

Although I’ve been reading tarot for years, it has meant so much to me that so many of you have met my slightly esoteric hobby with nothing but enthusiasm and encouragement as I’ve tried to turn it into a way to support myself and my family.

Whether you’ve read a blog post, had a reading, visited me at a market or written a testimonial, I cannot possibly put into words how much your support has meant to me. My weird witchy little heart could burst with the love I have for you all.

Thank you xx

April Nature Notes

April is THE month for cherry blossom spotting. Urban streets and parks are often excellent places to saunter, revelling in the abundant opulence of the fabulous blossoms.
Glistening white, through soft sugar pink all the way to vivid raspberry pink—what a sight to behold. The season is all too brief, so try and find ten minutes to make the most of their spectacular displays.

In the hedges, blackthorn is the first to show its dainty, snowy, star-like blossom. These precious flowers will eventually become sloes—one of the foragers’ favourites for making into delectable sloe gin.
In Celtic mythology, blackthorn is thought to be home to fairies.

Shady roadside verges are the best place to spot early bluebells developing. Their juicy, vibrant green stems support smoky blue flowers, which open gradually over a period of days.
Almost half of the world’s bluebells grow in the UK—we’re very lucky to be able to witness the spectacle of their misty amethyst drifts in our woods.

This month’s Nature Notes come from copywriter and tiny garden consultant Rowan Ambrose. You can read more of their work here.
