Welcome to February!
Hello! Welcome to my first newsletter of the new year, just in time for the festival of Imbolc.
Imbolc falls from dusk on the 1st of February until dusk on the 2nd, this festival marks the midway point between the Winter Solstice (the longest night) and the Spring Equinox (day and night are equal length) and means that Spring is finally on its way!
Snowdrops are central to Imbolc, as they are often the first to bloom. They might be my favourite flower and make me absolutely giddy when I see them peeping out from the dark, damp ground. Knowing I might get to see some of their fresh, new growth is sometimes the only thing that will make me leave the house!
