“Illuminate, Release, Transform”
Full Moon Tarot Spread by Sapling Tarot

Illuminate – Four of Cups

Four of Cups – Tarot of the Divine

In this deck, the four of cups is depicted by the Danish fairytale of The Nightingale. This story teaches us the importance of appreciating what is right in front of us, and to not take simple things for granted.

Release – Two of Cups

Two of Cups – Tarot of the Divine

The Two of Cups shows Enkidu and Gilgamesh of Sumerian myth. A partnership of true equals, their relationship was well balanced and fruitful. This is the kind of relationships we can find in our own lives if we let go of the reins just a little. By relinquishing that bit of control, we allow others the room to rise up to meet us, for us to feel held and cared for rather than having to fight for control all the time.

Transform – Queen of Wands

Queen of Wands – Tarot of the Divine

The Queen of Wands is a character of decisive action. Depicted here as the volcano goddess Pele, her actions may seem rash and explosive but they carve the way for rich soil and room for creation. The transformative power of fire and passion can bring great ideas to life, deepen relationships and bring untold optimism, all you have to do is make the first step.

Bonus – The High Priestess

The High Priestess – Tarot of the Divine

An additional card jumped from the deck as I was about to pull the cards. The High Priestess depicts Scheherazade from the Arabic Folktale known in the West as “1001 Arabian Nights”. This card is bursting with stories, mysteries and magic. Scheherazade survives by using her cunning and intuition, telling stories so captivating that she is kept alive to finish them. In terms of this full moon reading, she reminds us that not everything is immediately visible, that it’s worth taking the time to listen and learn before making decisions. The High Priestess is always a nudge to trust your gut.

Summary

So, putting these cards together, what does this mean for the full moon this month? The fiery power of this bright moon brings passion and excitement and the possibility for action, providing we don’t get distracted. There are opportunities to deepen relationships and share burdens whilst finding joy in the mundane to share with those we love.

I hope you enjoy this beautiful full moon, look after yourselves and I’ll be back soon! xx
